Palembang Bakal Punya Monorel Sepanjang 25 Km

Palembang - Kota Palembang bakal memiliki jaringan transportasi massal Monorel sepanjang 25 Km. Rencananya pada 6 Desember 2012 nanti, Pemerintah Provinsi Sumatera Selatan akan melaksanakan penandatangan Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) dengan pihak investor.

Demikian dikatakan Kepala Bidang (Kabid) Sarana dan Prasarana badan Perencana Pembangunan (Bappeda) Sumatera Selatan (Sumsel) Basyaruddin Akhmad MS, Selasa (27/11/12).

Menurutnya, monorel yang akan dibangun nanti memiliki panjang 25 KM, menghubungkan Bandara Internasional Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin (SMB) II menuju Jakabaring.

”Pembangunannya berjalan dua tahap. Pertama dari bandara SMB II menuju Masjid Agung, sepanjang 15 kilometer. Kemudian dari Masjid Agung melintasi Jembatan Ampera menuju Jakabaring sepanjang 10 kilometer," jelas Basyaruddin.

Ia menuturkan pembangunan monorer ini akan menghabiskan dana sekitar Rp 5 triliun dengan hitungan investasi setiap 1 Km senilai US$ 20 juta. "Kita membangun monorel ini menggunakan sistem Kemitraan Pemerintah dan Swasta) (KPS) dengan kerjasama Build Operate Transfer (BOT)," ujarnya.
